What We Do
Over the last eight years, Unnati Sansthan’s Khilta Bachpan and Chalo Chalo School Chalo projects, Strengthening schools Management committees, water sanitation and hygiene in schools, To motivate Girls for Girl child education and building leadership skills, along with the organisation’s work in the formation and strengthening of Panchayat-level Child Protection Committees (PLCPC), has created a highly positive impact on children’s lives in 70 Panchayats. These communities are now aware of the issues created by child labour, and former child labourers are being re-enrolled in schools.
Unnati Sansthan’s work has resulted in improved coordination between Teachers, child cabinets, SMCs, PLCPCs and Village Child Protection Committees (VCPCs) in the tracking of out-of-school children and child labourers. In addition, many needy families have been linked with social protection schemes to further relieve them from oppression and vulnerability. Through this work, Unnati has developed a strong and unique understanding of children’s issues in Udaipur District, Rajasthan, India.
